West Brom v Arsenal – Free Tips

Arsenal are fighting it out admirably with Man City. Arsène Wenger has found a way of inspiring his team to genuinely compete with Man City at a time when Chelsea are way off the pace. Beat City and it will likely be enough to win the Premier League title this season. However, Arsenal will have to win in tricky games like West Brom this Saturday.

Expectations

The Gunners managed to pinch a 1-0 victory in their prior Premier League visit to the Hawthorns, which came last November. Of course, that win came against a West Brom team managed by Alana Irvine, who was fired before Tony Pulis took charge at the turn of the year. Pulis’ West Brom is a much tougher beast than before.

West Brom have come close to great results when they lost 3-2 to Chelsea and 3-2 to Everton. Exclude those two results and West Brom have conceded only 10 goals in 10 games. Their defence is much better than advertised by those two score-lines. Nevertheless, it will be daunting for them to maintain their quality when coping with the frightening pace of Arsenal.

At present, however, Arsenal are not quite so blessed with pace. The midfield absences of Theo Walcott, Aaron Ramsey, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain do not make life easy for Wenger, who has turned to Joel Campbell for support. Surprisingly, the Costa Rican forward has displayed a good touch and been extremely quick in his recent appearances.

As ever, Arsenal are going to be reliant on the dynamic duo of Alexis Sánchez and Mesut Özil. Both players have been in fine form over the past several games and inject much-needed creativity in the final third, while Santi Cazorla operates from a slightly deeper position. These three will be eager to help Olivier Giroud add to his six league goals.

Arsenal are coming off a two-game international break in which their only fit midfield stars both represented their countries. There is a chance that Arsenal’s condition could limit them to a draw.
